Alumni Town Hall
Meeting with Allen University
Alumni Town Hall Meeting with Allen University President Dr. Stanley Pritchett Allen University alumni gathered for a dynamic and transparent Alumni Town Hall Meeting featuring Interim President Dr. Stanley Pritchett, hosted by the National Alumni Association and moderated by Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications Tiana Scarlett. The meeting provided alumni with a direct opportunity to hear Dr. Pritchett’s vision for Allen University’s next chapter and to engage in candid dialogue about the institution’s future. During his opening remarks, Dr. Pritchett outlined a clear, mission-centered strategy focused on institutional stability, disciplined growth, and renewed confidence. He emphasized Allen University’s unique role as an AME-founded HBCU committed to integrating faith, leadership, and academic excellence, serving first-generation and under-resourced students, and competing on purpose rather than scale. Central to his vision is educating the “whole student” intellectually, professionally, and ethically while advancing equity and excellence simultaneously. Throughout the town hall, Dr. Pritchett addressed alumni-submitted questions on key issues, including repairing the university’s public image, strengthening alumni relationships, improving enrollment and retention, modernizing financial aid operations, and aligning academic programs with workforce demands. He shared concrete enrollment goals, outlined efforts to improve operational efficiency and cross-campus collaboration, and discussed strategies for data-driven recruitment, student support, and retention. The conversation also highlighted long-term development initiatives, including conceptual plans for a future athletic complex and football stadium, potential redevelopment of the historic Carver Theatre, and opportunities for expanded philanthropic partnerships. Dr. Pritchett underscored the importance of financial stewardship, transparent communication, and consistent leadership in restoring trust and positioning Allen University for sustainable success. In closing, Dr. Pritchett invited alumni to actively participate in Allen’s forward momentum—through engagement, recruitment efforts, volunteerism, and philanthropy affirming that alumni are essential partners in shaping the university’s future. Let’s go, Yellow Jackets
